Chief Executive Office - Intern with Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA)

Location: Stirling
£8.29 per hour
Full-time, 35 hours per week
Immediate start until 31 March 2016 (subject to pre-employment checks)

SEPA works across Scotland and beyond to protect and improve the environment and communities and to support sustainable economic growth. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented graduate to provide support to SEPA's leadership team in driving forward an ambitious direction of change

As an intern working within the Chief Executive Office your main tasks will include:
• Research and fact-finding
• Attending meetings and capturing and chasing up actions
• Assisting in communications
• Providing advice and ideas


About the company

The Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) is Scotland’s environmental regulator. Their role is to make sure that the environment and human health are protected by regulating activities that can cause harmful pollution and encouraging good environmental practice. They also monitor and report on the state of the environment, as well as providing advice on environmental best practice and the sustainable use of natural resources and services.

Requirements

SEPA is looking for a committed and hardworking graduate to join their team and would welcome applications from any discipline. The successful applicant will be a creative thinker with an inquiring mind, have great organisational skills and will be able to work well with others. The ability to prioritise, use initiative and work to deadlines is essential.

You will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and good IT skills. Some aptitude in graphic design would also be very useful

On occasions rare evening work may be required.

The successful candidate will be asked to provide a Basic Disclosure Scotland Certificate and undergo a number of pre-employment checks.
