Developer with Internet Light Industries

Internet Light Industries is in the business of delivering software that deals with personal data ownership and privacy.

Location: Livingston

£7.85 per hour. Part-time, 20 hours per week for 12 weeks

ILI are looking to bring on an intern as a developer to build a prototype web and mobile application using the Mendix PaaS platform.  


Requirements

Suitable candidates will have a general proficiency as a developer, a fundamental understanding of the development process, and exposure to the following: HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, SQL Database Technologies (including XPath), and basic data modeling.  

Previous experience with the Mendix platform would be useful but is not essential, as the project will include time for the developer to learn the required skills.
 
Familiarity with popular development environments and tools, as well as Agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum) is expected. Experience with any of the following would be beneficial: Visual C#/.NET, Ruby on Rails, iOS App development, Android App development, Adobe PhoneGap.

ILI are looking for someone who is a self-starter and can work autonomously to achieve agreed targets. It is expected that this role will include a large remote working component.
