About the Company
The Verdant Spirits distillery will be the first ever to be located in the city of Dundee. Dundee has been recently appointed as UNESCO City of Design and named ‘coolest city in the UK’ by GQ magazine.
The company will be a producer of craft spirits, mixers and cocktail ingredients of outstanding quality under the banner of a single, recognisable consumer brand. Its market strategy is to focus on bringing classic and authentic cocktails to a wider audience, both in bars and, more importantly, in the home.
Having recently acquired an old mill building in Blackness, the process of converting the premises into a state of the art craft distillery is now underway and scheduled to be complete towards the end of 2016, when the first product – a dry gin– is expected to be launched. The self-contained complex will also contain a visitor centre and retail outlet, and host distillery tours, tasting events and both public and private functions.
