They are working in jobs for which they are over qualified. They have gained their degree, are highly skilled and qualified, but need the opportunity to put those skills into practice.  They can't get a job without experience, but they can't get experience without a job. 

The latest statistics for the UK show that 3.1% of graduates and 2.3% of postgraduates are unemployed, with these percentages even higher for women, people from different ethnic groups, and people idenntifying as having a disability. At AAI we advocate transparent and fair recruitment procedures and we actively support equal opportunities with the aim of real social change.

That's where paid graduate internships come in.

Graduate Interns will join you to complete a specific, time limited project.  There is no commitment to giving your intern a permanent job after their internship - 77% of graduate interns will go directly into permanent work by virtue of gaining the experience they need to become more employable.
