Scottish Borders Housing Association (SBHA) is an independent Housing Association serving communities in the Scottish Borders by providing quality, affordable homes.
Full-time for 4 months (on rare occasions evening work may be required)
The Executive Team Projects Intern will work for the Chief Executive and team of 3 Directors in a busy office environment where major change programmes are underway. Within this role your main tasks will include, but will not be limited to:
• Planning workloads, meetings and engagements
• Supporting achievement of deadlines
• Communications – assisting in updating the Website, compiling Team Briefs, press articles etc.
• Organising and attending meetings, and on some occasions taking minutes.
• Liaising with other organisations, Board Members, Tenants, MPs, MSPs etc.
• Assisting in the compilation of reports and researching issues as required.
This role is a great opportunity to work with a CEO of a large housing association, supporting the strategic direction of the organisation. Whilst it involves a lot of admin, there is also the opportunity to work as part of a team on a range of projects that contribute to the future success of the organisation.
Scottish Borders Housing Associate are looking for a committed and hardworking graduate to join their team and would welcome applications from any discipline. The successful applicant will have great organisational skills and will be able to work well with others and work effectively as part of a team. The ability to prioritise, use initiative and work to deadlines is essential.
You will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be proficient in a broad range of IT packages, including Mircosoft Word and Excel. Creative thinking and strong numeracy skills are also required.
