HR Operations Intern with Stirling Council

As one of the local authorities at the heart of Scotland, Stirling Council is looking to recruit a graduate intern to provide support within the HR Operations team.

Location: Stirling
£8.00 per hour
Full-time, 37 hours per week for 6 months, with possible extension to one year
Ideal start: Immediate

Working within the HR department of Stirling Council, you will support the Council’s Payroll team to process a variety of pay and pension related activity and to participate in process re-design which will increase efficiency.

You will be responsible for processing a weekly payroll and two monthly salary payrolls, including overtime, expenses, sickness, maternity, pension and statutory deductions. In total there are approximately 4,500 employees


Requirements

The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level with a background in Business Management, HR or related field.
The successful intern will be a self-starting graduate, who is organised, able to work to deadlines and uses their own initiative to get the job done. You will be an excellent communicator with outstanding written and oral communication skills. You must possess strong numeracy skills and be highly proficient in ICT. You will be professional and discrete in dealing with confidential and sometimes sensitive/personal information.
