Ian in RSE Young Academy Scotland

We are extremely proud about our Marketing Director, Ian LeBruce becoming one of 40 new members to join the Royal Society of Edinburgh Young Academy! The Royal Society of Edinburgh is Scotland's national academy of science and letters, which includes people from a wide range of disciplines – science & technology, arts, humanities, medicine, social science, business and public service.

Ian’s areas of interest with the academy are entrepreneurship, social business, digital, technology and sustainability.

We were nominated for the SME Of The Year in the annual Business in the Community Awards. The winners were announced in a lovely ceremony, in a venue packed with interesting people from responsible businesses all across Scotland.

We are honoured to have been included in such a great group of companies and celebrate the accomplishments and impact that socially aware and responsible businesses have in Scotland and Scottish economy.

At Adopt an Intern we love to make a positive contribution to the Scottish Economy and we believe that working alongside Scottish EDGE is another step forward! We offer a support package to the winners of Scottish EDGE competition who are chosen each year from amongst the most competent, innovative and bright entrepreneurial talent across the country.

We were delighted to be invited to the Scottish EDGE awards that took place at the RBS Conference Centre, where we had the opportunity to watch some very inspiring presentations and to meet with the finalists. Read more here.



Joy Lewis

Our CEO, Joy Lewis was a guest speaker at a Risk Management Forum in London, where the topic was alternative methods of recruitment.

Joy spoke about the importance of attracting a wider, more diverse talent pool and how best to achieve this in a sector which is of critical importance to business but presently suffering from skill shortages.



Intern Story: Daniel Jones

Daniel’s working life has followed a remarkable route so far. With a tough start after leaving university, he overcame a number of difficulties and he now works for Roger Mullin MP, SNP Member of Parliament for Kirkcaldy and Cowdenbeath.
