About the Company
My Way Digital Health Ltd are a new start-up company that has recently been spun-out of Dundee University with the aim of commercialising the existing and highly successful multi-award winning MyDiabetesMyWay website into other parts of the UK and overseas.
The company provides an online data-driven self-management tool for people with diabetes and is designed to flag both improvements and, significantly, deterioration in the health of a user.
This is an incredibly exciting time to be joining the company and the possibilities are almost limitless for the right candidate.
My Way Digital Health are looking for a keen and enthusiastic Junior Software Engineer to join the team. The graduate will play a key role in planning, development, testing, implementation, maintenance, support and system/help documentation relating to a website and smartphone app that helps people with Diabetes to manage their own condition.
The post encompasses all aspects of web application and database design including client and server-side scripting, .Net, T-SQL, web services and open source technologies. Knowledge and experience with SQL Server databases advantageous.
*Possibility for extended work on other projects, following the internship period.
The ideal candidate would be a graduate or final year student undertaking a degree in computing or relevant discipline. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and ideally possess 6+ months experience, including the following:
• CSS 3 and bootstrap
• ASP.Net using C#
• REST API
• Web Services
• OAuth authentication
• PHP 5 or greater
• Apache Subversion
• Development and maintenance of SQL Server databases
