About the Company 
Our organisation, RocksEvents Ltd, is the parent company that puts on Electric Fields festival. It was founded in 2014 by two brothers, Alex and Nick Roberts, with the aim of putting on a festival which matches commercial needs with creative flair and offers something different in the Scottish festival scene. Still a young company, this is an exciting time to get involved in a key year of development. 
  
The nature of the business means that some periods can be fraught, around announcement dates etc, and others slightly more relaxed, but throughout, creativity and an openness to new ideas are at the heart of what we do to make sure we are being as engaging and effective as possible.   
  
With everyone who works on the festival based in different parts of the UK, there is an interesting mix of an in-person and digital working environment which encourages team members to take responsibility for their own workload whilst tapping into a virtual network to support successful outcomes. 
  
The Role 
This is a great opportunity to be part of a young, growing company.  The main tasks associated with this role are to support the management team of Electric Fields. The promotion period of the festival lasts 10 months and support is required around the planning and implementation of the promotion plan for the festival, which takes place on 1 and 2 September 2017.  
  
This role will be varied and the ideal applicant will have a huge amount of initiative as well as the ability to be flexible as new tasks appear daily.   
  
Your main tasks will include: 
• Preparing and maintaining marketing calendars   
• Seeking new opportunities to promote Electric Fields  
• Updating Digital and Social Media Channels   
• Creating digital content   
• Maintaining planning documents for Electric Fields  
• Liaising with relevant stakeholders effectively (festival partners, sponsors, artist management) 
  
*Please note that travel to Edinburgh will be required maximum one afternoon per week. 
  
Requirements 
The ideal candidate will be a creative and enthusiastic marketeer. A strong interest in music is of course required, but the right personality is even more important. Basic Photoshop or other creative suite skills are essential as well as experience with social media channels & WordPress. A keen interest in events marketing and a knowledge of changing trends in this area is also important.  
 
Being well organised, able to prioritise and work independently with minimum supervision is key, as well as being comfortable with working from home. A confident communication style coupled with excellent interpersonal skills is also essential.
