Alba Orbital is one of the UK's most innovative start-up companies. They are now looking for a Mechanical/Electrical Engineer to work on the development and production of systems for small satellites deployment mechanisms and structures, as well as electronics.
£7.85 per hour
Part-time, 20 hours per week for 3 months
As a Mechanical/Electrical Engineer you will help with software development for various electrical board devices and be involved in the mechanical creation of 3d models.
The ideal candidate will be a well motivated graduate, although current undergraduate students will be considered, with a background in engineering and strong teamwork skills.
You should be have a track record of delivering effective mechanical/electrical designs and be able to verify designs with calculation and analysis. The ability to produce detailed engineering drawings to an appropriate standard for manufacture using 3D CAD tools is essential. Experienced in the use of Sketchup (or alternative tools) to produce both 3D models and 2D engineering drawings would be highly beneficial. Experience of design verification and analysis using finite element methods is required. You should have experience of software/programming and C/C++.
