Parking Management Intern at Stirling Council

Location: Stirling
£8.00 per hour
Full-time (37 hours over 5 days) for 6-12 months
Immediate start

 

Stirling Council is recruiting for a keen gradate to assist their Parking Team progress works required in obtaining Decriminalised Parking Enforcement (DPE) powers.
Within this role the Intern will:
• prepare design drawings for the updating of all road markings and signs associated with parking restrictions in accordance with the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2002 (and updates)
• liaise with other Officers within the Council and Consultants
• assist the Parking Team Leader with onsite remedials
• undertake any other work associated with DPE. 


Requirements

The successful intern should be educated to degree level, ideally with a background in Civil Engineering, Transportation, QS, GIS, or a related field. You must be competent with AutoCAD, preferably with sign design/mapping experience.

You must be a self-starting graduate who uses their own initiative, is highly-organised and able to work to deadlines. You will have excellent communication skills, both written and oral and strong IT and numeracy skills. You will have a professional and discrete attitude and will be able to work well within a team.

A full driving license is desirable.
