About the Company 
Hazel Passmore is a Jewellery designer and maker. She graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in Dundee and is the owner of HP Jewellery based in Inverness. The brand specialises in producing hand-crafted, contemporary jewellery collections and bespoke pieces in gold and silver.   
  
The Role 
Hazel is looking for an enthusiastic graduate to join HP Jewellery to assist in the promotion of the brand. The role will be mainly studio based but with some opportunity to work from home.  
  
The role will include a variety of responsibilities:   
• SEO optimisation 
• Daily maintenance of social media and blogging/monthly newsletters  
• Researching suitable situations for selling/brand awareness  
• Experience of CMS system to assist with the development and maintenance of the website  
• Creating mailing lists and databases  
• Researching funding opportunities  
• Contacting media/writing press releases  
• Gaining new contacts    

Requirements 
The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level with previous experience in Marketing & PR.  You will have previous experience in search engine optimisation (SEO) and an experienced understanding of marketing techniques and how to develop brand awareness. Your social media and IT skills should be of a high standard.   An exciting and varied role, this is an ideal and interesting position for an enthusiastic, proactive graduate.  You must also have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be confident working on your own initiative, with a strong interest in the creative industries. An understanding of the jewellery industry is beneficial. You will have a positive attitude and be flexible and prepared to become involved in new upcoming projects. 
 
This role is advertised on a self-employed basis. Please note that you will be invoicing as a freelance consultant. This is a very simple, uncomplicated process. You will also be advised to register as self-employed with HMRC if you have not already registered. Please note, students in Scotland on a Tier 4 Visa are not permitted to be self-employed and should therefore not apply for this role.
