The Role

As a Project Administration Assistant, you will support Dr. Townley to meet Business Plan objectives and project deliverables for the EVMT contract with marine engineering specialists, Babcock Marine.

It is anticipated that the work can be split between being conducted from the candidate’s home, and the EVMT home office in Dawlish, near Exeter. This means that the role affords a great amount of flexibility, not only in work location, but also in work hours.

Expenses to/from the Company Office will be reimbursed assuming the candidate lives within the Exeter-Teignmouth geographical area.

There is incredible potential for professional advancement in this role. If the candidate shows both aptitude and interest, the APM Introductory examination fees and travel to/from the examination venue will be paid by the Company.

Roles and responsibilities include:

• Using Excel to manage the company accounts and administration 

• Design and implement the required Electronic Document Control System to support data capture and transfer activities (database management)

• Review and update the existing Business Plan for the 2013-18 period

• Support the development and production of the following Babcock Marine contract documentation

• Work with the EVMT Marketing Manager to support ongoing marketing initiatives e.g. AAI relationship sponsorship scheme, University/School Liaison visits

• Develop and maintain the required Managing Director APM portfolio of evidence

• Attend fortnightly/monthly progress meetings as agreed and produce reports and discuss objectives

Requirements

EVMT ProgRess Ltd are looking for personable candidates with excellent oral and written communication skills. This opportunity is open to candidates of all ages and levels of experience, and could potentially suit someone returning to work after a career break.

Any educational degree or professional background etc. will be considered as long as you have the skills to do the job.

The ideal candidate could have a degree or certificate in Business or Project Administration; and/or NVQ4 in Business Analysis and System Architecture (optional), or have experience in a similar background. 

You must have good IT and administrative skills, especially with Microsoft Packages (Word, MS Project, Powerpoint and Excel). You should be numerically sound, detail-oriented and organised. Individuals with demonstrable office experience are highly desirable.
