Projects Assistant Intern with Knockraich Farm

Location: Fintry, Stirlingshire
£7.50 per hour
Full-time for 12 months (Part-time considered)
Immediate start.

[applicants must have their own transport as there is no public transport to Fintry. It is located 30 mins from Stirling and 40 mins from Glasgow.]

As part of their continued growth plans, Knockraich Farm is seeking to recruit a graduate keen to gain all-round experience of a thriving business.

Knockraich Farm is home to the award-winning Katy Rodger's Artisan Dairy. It offers luxury accommodation, venue hire, a cafe and soft furnishing workroom/showroom. They are looking for a robust graduate, with a background in business, or related field, to work closely with the owner/manager as a Projects Assistant. You will be trained on various aspects of the business to undertake the following duties and responsibilities:
•  using your knowledge of websites and social media to update and populate both
•  product promotions
•  events co-ordination
• providing personal assistance to both the project manager and business owner
• supporting with budgeting and accounting
• supporting with general office administration
• any other tasks relevant to the role

There is the possibility of a permanent position at the end of the internship.


Requirements

The successful intern will have a love of country life and, as you will mainly be working on the Farm's biggest project, Katy Rodger's Artisan Dairy, you must have an interest in and be inspired by food.  You will be an all-rounder, keen to work hard and make a difference to a small entrepreneurial business.  You will need to be highly organised and have the drive and determination to work on your own initiative.  Strong problem solving skills plus the ability to think outside the box will also be required in this post. 

You will need good written and verbal communication skills, excellent computer skills and a thorough understanding of how to populate a website and handle social media updates.

You must have your own transport and be able to drive, as there is no public transport to Knockraich Farm.  However, you are likely to be driving against the traffic, making the journey relatively easy.
