Street Lighting Intern with Stirling Council

Location: Stirling
£8.00 per hour
Full-time (37 hours over 5 days) for 6-12 months
Immediate start

 

Stirling Council is seeking an enthusiastic graduate to join them as an Intern to assist with Street Lighting design and updating the Street Lighting Inventory as part of the Council's spend to save PBB initiative.

Within this role the Intern will: 
• prepare Street Lighting design drawings 
• update the Street Lighting inventory  
• liaise with other Officers within and outwith Stirling Council 
• report faults 
• assist the Street Lighting Team Leader with reports. 

  

Requirements 

The successful intern should be educated to degree level, ideally with a background in Electrical engineering, electronics or a related field. You must be competent with AutoCAD, preferably with electrical/lighting experience. 

You must be a self-starting graduate who uses their own initiative, is highly-organised and able to work to deadlines. You will have excellent communication skills, both written and oral and strong IT and numeracy skills. You will have a professional and discrete attitude and will be able to work well within a team.  

A full driving license is desirable.
