Student Programmers with Avarix Ltd

Avarix Ltd is a recently established IT solutions company based in Glasgow, established for the purpose of servicing the IT requirements of companies in Scotland and throughout the UK.

£7.85 per hour, hours negotiable
Start date: Immediate

To facilitate this the company combines a wealth of experience with the fresh ideas of a growing student talent base. By providing employment to students the company can deliver a wide range of solutions to customers and at the same time enable students to work on real life projects, and gain valuable industry experience in their chosen field.

The team are now looking for student programmers to join them in developing and delivering solutions to their customers. You will be expected to be involved with every aspect of the service from requirements analysis to deployment including meeting clients to gather requirements and specification.

Requirements

The role will suit current students, possibly in an IT based subject, however other disciplines are acceptable. Whatever your academic background, you will be able to demonstrate some programming experience with examples of personal projects or individual university projects.

The ability to take the initiative and the desire to seek out technical solutions for challenges you face are essential for this role.

In terms of technical capability it is preferred that you have experience of HTML, CSS (Frameworks such as Bootstrap), Client-side Javascript and jQuery, as well as a server-side language such as PHP.
 
We would love for you to possess skills in using backend javascript (Node.js, Sails.js).
