The role
Creating video is a vital element of BCF Technology’s learning. Over the past 4 years they have created the largest free online resource for vets of veterinary imaging including ultrasound, X-ray, CT and MRI. Their YouTube channel has over 500 films and over 1.8m views. The company is now looking to bring their film making to the next level.

BCF Technology are currently looking for someone able to demonstrate their ability to create engaging videos. The intern will work within a young and dynamic marketing team, with 7 based in the UK and others in USA, France and India. You will work directly with the marketing department and the in-house clinical team of vets and radiographers.

As part of the internship, the graduate will prepare film and edit a wide range of work, including clinical ‘how to’ videos, interviews with customers and videos showing product benefits in a veterinary environment. It is essential that the individual is able to portray the company culture through all BCF Technology’s events. Ideally you would also have excellent photographic skills. Animation and graphic design skills would be bonus, but not a deal breaker.

In addition, you will also be involved in a limited amount of general marketing support, e.g. social media and any other duties as required by the company.

Please note: This role will involve some travel within the UK and Ireland, occasional international travel and you must be happy to work with animals. You will need to have a driving licence.


Requirements
The ideal candidate will be highly creative with confident communication skills, both written and oral. You should have a background in/experience of film making and editing whether studied at university, and or experience in a voluntary role or in the workplace. You will be a self-starter and have a demonstrable skill set around the use of social media channels. You will be asked to provide access to examples of your video work.

The intern will be required to have a working knowledge of Adobe Premiere and the Adobe Creative Suite. Knowledge of colour correction and grading processes in editing, alongside an understanding of video encoding for preparing video delivery in multiple formats is desirable.

The ability to produce engaging and accurate work to a series of tight deadlines is essential. Understanding of a foreign language would be desirable but not essential.

You should possess a current valid driving licence.
