About the Company
Hillhouse is a unique social enterprise in Ayrshire working to support individuals and families experiencing financial hardship.
We offer practical support by supplying good quality second hand children’s clothing, footwear and equipment. Our vision is to help alleviate hardship faced by individuals and families and make a positive difference in their lives.
The main tasks will be to present Hillhouse’s products (mainly furniture) in an attractive way and follow up on sales activities. It will be the responsibility of the visual merchandiser for windows and in-store displays, making sure the store is fun and fashionable in every way. You will also train and coach your colleagues onsite, about visual merchandising and product presentation.
Hillhouse are looking for an enthusiastic fashion retail graduate or those with a related subject discipline. The ideal candidate will have a good sense of design, colour and style. You will be a creative individual with an awareness and interest of current trends in design, fashion; and a high level of attention to detail. You will possess the ability to work in a team as well as on your own initiative. The intern is expected to be productive and proactive in working to deadlines. It is also essential that you are a great communicator (verbal and written). Candidates with experience in visual merchandising are desirable.
