The Brand Change team is part of Diageo's International Supply Technical team. Every day the Brand Change team are modernising packaging on existing Brands, as well as creating new packs and liquids as Diageo launch new innovative Brands to add to their already extensive exciting portfolio, supporting Diageo's 21 markets in 180 countries worldwide in their Innovation and growth goals.
As a Brand Change project manager, you will work on delivering projects ensuring that products delivered to markets are fully compliant in line with country of origin and local in market legislation as well as being in line with corporate relations codes and Diageo’s marketing code. The role will give the successful candidate great exposure to many of the functions within Diageo, including Marketing, Innovation, Procurement, Manufacturing, Finance, Data and Supply Chain. A fantastic platform where you can demonstrate your leadership, project management and technical skills through successful project delivery.
The main purpose of this task is to form and lead cross-business teams to deliver brand change solutions which satisfy customer briefs in terms of quality, cost and timescale. You will be accountable for:
• Review and prioritisation of projects, including budgeting, tracking, reporting and communication
• Internal customer interface and alignment
• Budget and timeline preparation
• Analysis of current packaging and development of new updates.
• Working on component compliance approvals and formal project closedown.
The role is based in the Technical Centre in Central Scotland, but you may be required to visit packaging suppliers and other Diageo sites. Building great relationships, fantastic communication skills, and finding solutions will be key to success in the role.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level, ideally in a technical area. You will have excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills, being capable of developing sound working relationships. You should have sound people coordination and management ability. An Institute of Packaging Diploma or equivalent would be highly beneficial, though not essential, so long as you can demonstrate a commitment to train for similar.
You must possess strong project management skills with a sound knowledge of a wide range of packaging materials and processes including:
• Liquid development and commercialisation
• Artwork specification and management
• Reprographics process
• Design and development of packaging and materials
• Materials manufacturing and due diligence
• Materials handling, transportation and transit robustness
• Risk Management practices and techniques
You will have the ability to develop a sound understanding of International Supply Centre Technical and Brand Change processes, Ways of Working and Navigate processes. You will already posses commercial awareness and be financially literate. You must have excellent organisation, report preparation and presentation skills.
It is important that you can manage conflicting priorities and operate independently, using your own initiative. You will take ownership in your work and be able to successfully engage all contacts from customers to senior managers.
