The Edinburgh Businesswomen's Club is a not for profit support and networking group open to all women whatever point of their career.
£7.65 per hour. Part-time, 20 hours per week for 240 hours.
(Please note that you will be invoicing Adopt an Intern as a freelance/consultant. This is a very simple, uncomplicated process. You will also be advised to register as self-employed with HMRC if you are not already registered.)
Run by volunteers, they are now looking to recruit a graduate to work as the Club Secretary. The successful candidate will work alongside the committee and report directly to the president of the group.
An excited and varied role the successful intern’s main tasks will include:
- Updating the group’s Wordpress-hosted website
- Assisting the events team with regular events
- Attending club events
- Creating marketing materials, including newsletters
- Other administrative tasks as required
Please note this position will require the successful candidate to attend meetings and events out with working hours.
The successful candidate will be confident, outgoing and energetic, someone who thrives on meeting new people from a wide range of backgrounds.
You will be educated to degree level with a background in/knowledge of marketing. An interest in and understanding of social enterprises would be beneficial. This role requires the candidate to be IT literate, highly organised and motivated.
Experience of updating Wordpress sites would be highly favoured.
