Morrison Media Strategies works with a range of businesses and organisations to develop a compelling story through a combination of Public Relations and Public Affairs.
£9 per hour. Full time for 12 months
Performance and salary review after 6 months, with potential for permanent role for the right candidate
Ideal start: September 2015
Working as a Communications Intern, you will be able to demonstrate a keen interest in PR and Communications. Your main tasks will include:
• Providing research support for media training workshops and writing scenarios.
• Research on Scottish and UK current affairs and politics
• Supporting Account Directors with PR and Public Affairs work
• Copy-writing for Media Releases and clients’ communications
The successful intern can come from any degree discipline but will have, and be able to demonstrate, a keen interest in current affairs and politics.
You will have excellent spoken and written communication skills and be a competent and engaging copy writer. You will be confident in speaking and presenting to various audiences and stakeholders. An understanding of using social media for business, and strong digital marketing skills is a must.
The ideal candidate will be flexible to work occasional weekends as necessary for any breaking news stories.
