The company develops, markets and sells engineering simulation software used for the design and optimisation of bulk material handling and processing equipment. Their flagship product EDEM® software is used by leading companies in the mining, heavy equipment and process industries as well as for research at over 200 academic institutions worldwide.

The Role 

An intern is now required to join the marketing team and help support a range of marketing activities including inbound marketing campaigns, website content and database management. 

This is a great opportunity to join a company who like to develop their staff through challenge in a positive and supportive environment. Previous interns and graduates we have placed have been kept on and become invaluable members of the teams they are part of. 

As EDEM’s marketing assistant you will support a range of marketing activities and projects, including: 

• Setting up, sending, and tracking email campaigns  
• Planning and executing webinars 
• Updating and adding content to the website   
• Creating visually appealing landing pages for the website  
• Managing and updating customer databases 
• Managing subscribers to our eLearning platform and User Forum 
• Creating visuals for social media campaigns 
• Any other duties related to the role 
 

Requirements 

The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level in a business management or sales and marketing related field. You should have strong verbal and written communication skills as well as great attention to detail. You should have the ability to plan, multitask, and prioritise as needed. Database management and analytical skills are also important.  

Excellent IT skills are essential, with the ability to learn how to use new tools quickly. You will be using a customer relationship management (CRM) system, email marketing, and marketing automation software, and web content management system. Any image/video editing skills are desirable and any experience managing social media channels is a plus.
