EDM Implementation Project Manager at Port of Leith Housing Association

The company employs around 70 staff the majority of whom work from our Head Office in Leith.   
The Role 
The Association is looking to improve its management of documents and files by introducing an electronic document management system and a software package called Invu has been selected as the platform for this.  The role will involve supporting the management and staff of the Association to make the transition from our existing methods of filing, storing and retrieving documents to a new approach using the Invu system.  As our organisation is heavily reliant on its ability to handle documents effectively both in relation to the general management of the business as well as the delivery of our services to customers getting this implementation right is highly important. 
Port of Leith Housing Association are, therefore, looking for an enthusiastic graduate to join us. As a successful candidate your main responsibilities will be to: 
• Familiarise yourself with the Invu electronic document management system and its function's 
• Consult with business teams to establish a filing taxonomy for the organisation 
• Set up the agreed taxonomy in the Invu system 
• Draft any required guidance notes for users 
• Liaise with the Invu supplier to arrange user training 
• Support business teams with the transition from existing filing system to new EDM system 
The ideal candidate will have an understanding of business administration, the importance of effective document management and good IT skills. 
You should be well organised, able to prioritise and be attentive to detail. 
You will need to be able work on your own initiative once a clear brief has been given to you of outputs required. 
You will also need excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and persuade others to get things you need done.
