This award is open to all Adopt an Intern employers (past and present) and recognises the provision of an outstanding internship experience.
This award recognises employers committed to creating an outstanding experience and a positive working environment for their intern(s). It considers the measures that the employer has taken to ensure an intern has a positive experience, as well as the intern's perceptions of the workplace with an emphasis on the culture and atmosphere within the organisation.
• The measures you put in place to support your intern. For example: induction process, engagement activity, initiatives or social groups that exemplify your commitment to a positive intern experience.
• The communication between intern, colleagues and management within your organisation.
• Training, personal development, career prospects
• Your intern(s) perspective on how their internship was managed, and the values and principles of the employer organisation in relation to internships.
Who can enter?
This award is open to Adopt an Intern employers, past and present. To apply for this award you must have recruited at least one intern into paid internships within your organisation through Adopt an Intern.
Entry is free. This award is made to an organisation, rather than an individual.
How do I nominate my business?
If you are/were an Adopt an Intern employer, you may nominate your own business by downloading and completing the submission document (available for download here) and submit it via the 'apply' button at the bottom of this page. You must include a supporting comment from your intern.
How do I nominate my host employer?
If you are/were an intern and you'd like to nominate your employer you can do so by completing the submission document (available for download here) and submitting it via the 'apply' button at the bottom of this page.
The word counts are simply a guideline, but please ensure that your entries are as concise as possible by, using bullet points if necessary. Please ensure that all sections are completed. We will be unable to judge entries that are not complete.

How will the entries be judged?
All entries will be viewed by a panel of judges made up of award sponsors and Adopt an Intern.
When do I need to submit by?
Closing date for entries has been extended until midnight on Monday 23 March, 2015.
Entries will be judged by our sponsors and all nominated candidates will be notified by 1st April 2015. Please note: finalists are required to attend the 5 year celebration and awards reception on Thursday 30th April 2015, in Edinburgh.
