The Big Lottery Fund believes people should be in the lead in improving their lives and their communities. In Scotland, The Big Lottery Fund deliver and support funding of £70M every year, mostly to the voluntary and community sector organisations tackling inequalities.

This is an exciting time to join the team who during a busy period of engaging with stakeholders to design their new portfolio of funding to enable people to make great things happen and to build and renew strong, vibrant communities.

As part of the Funding team in Glasgow office you will assess applications, manage grants and, support a range of customers to access Big Lottery funding.

This position is open to graduates from all disciplines.

You should be able to demonstrate your ability to reach sound judgements, supported by evidence and wider contextual knowledge from face to face and telephone conversations, written information and numerical/financial data. You will be able to write clear and concise reports to support good decision-making by the Committee. You should have core IT skills and be able to collect, analyse and manipulate data accurately using both Word and Excel. Ideally you will have experience of working with an in-house database.

You will have experience of working in a team environment and possess strong planning and organising skills to manage and prioritise your workload to meet individual and team objectives. You will demonstrate flexible communications skills and ability to build relationships of trust with a range of customers, from national organisations to volunteer-led community groups, consistently delivering excellent customer service.

Knowledge or experience of the voluntary and community sectors is desirable.
