Grant Administrator Intern with Get2Grips with Grants Ltd

Get2Grips with Grants Ltd source and secure funds for non-profit organisations. They are currently looking for a keen graduate to join their team as a Grant Administrator Intern.

Location: Largs, North Ayrshre

£7.85 per hour. Part-time. 20 hours per week for 12 weeks
Ideal start date 27 April 2015

Working along with a Grant Manager, this role will involve preparing and writing grant applications for various charities. You will look at:

1) The Project (this will also involve suggesting & designing projects for clients)
2) Research & match project/s to various funders
3) Identify the Evidence of Need of the Client & the Project
4) Their Budget Requirements (this will involve having to write a budget on Excel for the client, reading and deciphering information from Annual Accounts etc)
5) The Monitoring & Evaluation Framework 
6) An Outcomes & Targets Plan
Within this role you will also be involved in researching, collating and analysing UK wide statistics.


The ideal candidate for this role will be educated to degree level with a background in business, admin, English, creative writing and/or marketing. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills showing you have the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, clients and individuals within a wide variety of organisations are a must.

To be successful in this role you should have the ability to plan and write in a creative way, appealing to different audiences and be able to interpret complex information and present in plain language. A high attention to detail and strong research, analysis and interpretation skills are essential.

You will have a strong work ethic, be flexible and adaptable with a positive ‘can do’ attitude. You will have the ability to work on your own initiative, prioritise your workload and handle pressure while working towards multiple deadlines. The ability to follow verbal and written instruction is vital. You will be able to demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office packages, including Word, Excel and Outlook.

Familiarity with Grant Applications and Funders would be beneficial, though is not essential. Evidence of previous involvement in local community groups would be highly favoured.
