This is a Scottish Government funded project aimed at supporting the development of inclusive practice in recruitment and employment of women from black and ethnic minority communities across the country. The involvement of Diageo through this vacancy is an important part of the Diversity Works project, as it will demonstrate the journey of women participating in it through the recruitment process from start to finish.

The Role

Diageo are looking for a confident and resilient HR Administrator to work with their team at their Edinburgh Park offices. Within this role you will liberate and support the Human Resource Business Partners (HRBP) team across the International Supply Centre (ISC) to deliver Diageo’s people objectives, and through that the performance of the ISC. You will work closely with the HR Coordinator by supporting various projects.

Diageo’s purpose as an HR function is to be an agile, connected, accountable performance partner for the business, by focusing on the areas where they will make the greatest difference to performance.

In your role as HR Assistant, you will be involved in a wide variety of work and projects in an administrative capacity, two particular projects to note:

Values Survey – Our Voice:
Undertake the administration and setup of Diageo’s annual pulse survey that helps measure the culture and behaviours within their organisation

Career Ready:
Be involved in the annual administration of circa 60 school pupil’s taking part in paid work placements and mentoring scheme across Scotland
This is a part-time role that you will work for 17 hours per week. There is flexibility in relation to the working pattern. The role is a fixed term contract and will run until June 2019.

 

Requirements

The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level and have a strong interest in HR and people development. Together with a drive to learn and curious spirit, you’ll be enthusiastic, open-minded and assertive, and ready for different and challenging projects.
The following criteria are required to be successful in this role:
• Proven ability to deliver results at pace
• Ability to build relationships quickly across a variety of local and virtual partners
• Resilience and confidence in a dynamic and ambiguous environment
• Ability to multi-task, prioritise tasks and work to deadlines
• A self-starter, able to take on a task with little direction and complete it with success
• A desire to work in the Reporting / Business Intelligence and Analytics arena
• A strong team player with a positive, can-do attitude
• Must be organised and highly analytical in approach.
• Attention to detail is critical
• Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
• Must be competent in the use of standard Microsoft Office apps such as Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Proven communication skills, both written and oral (telephone and face to face)

The following skills are desirable:
• Good working knowledge of systems, ideally Workday.
• Good attention to detail accompanied by a strong analytical approach to problem-solving.
• Strong experience and skill in administrative type activities.
