Gravitate HR is an independent outsourced HR consultancy providing HR support and consultancy to a wide range of businesses and organisations across Scotland. We have two offices; our Headquarters are based in Edinburgh and we also have an office in Glasgow. We work in Account Management teams and are very client focused delivering a bespoke service to meet our clients' needs. No two days are the same!
You will be joining a small, but an ambitious and versatile team of HR professionals in our Edinburgh Headquarters. We are looking for an enthusiastic graduate, who is up for a challenge, to join our team.
As HR Assistant, you will provide an efficient, timely, and accurate service to clients. You will use effective communication to build good relationships. You will also support the HR Account Managers in providing business focussed advice to clients, working within appropriate legislative and regulatory guidelines and industry best practice. As HR Assistant, you will have primary responsibility for the administration and support of the HR Account Managers of their portfolio and projects. This will include use of IT and other systems to enable Gravitate HR to deliver the work.
In your role as HR Assistant, you will:
•Provide HR Administrative support to HR Account Managers
•Answer telephone queries
•Carry out inductions and telephone interviews for clients
•Prepare and review HR policy documents and supporting papers
•Use relevant IT systems to ensure that Key Performance Indicators are met
•Maintain accurate time logs and diary systems for time and client management
•Prepare and send newsletters, blog posts, and other electronic updates for use online
•Assist in invoicing and expenses management
•Assist with any other tasks as and when required
•Continue your own development through CIPD updates, seminars, and research
The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level and have a strong interest in HR and people development. A background in HR, possibly as your degree, will be beneficial as you will be given responsibilities early on.
The following skills are relevant to the role:
•A thorough knowledge of business to business environment and an appreciation of commercial drivers in business and organisation
•Computer literate with the ability to pick up software and its uses quickly. You should already be familiar with basic Microsoft Office software.
•Attention to detail and accuracy

•Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
•Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines
•Excellent organisational and time management skills
•Administrative and office management experience
•Proven communication skills, both written and oral (telephone and face to face)
