Manga Illustrator Intern with Sainted Media


Location: Edinburgh 
£8.25 per hour 
Part-time: 20 hours per week for 12 weeks.

The Role 
We are looking for a talented comic book illustrator who can create colourful, attractive and engaging images in a Manga comic book style.  
Key Tasks 
Your key task will be to produce illustrations for two new ebooks in our children’s book series. The illustration will be in a Manga style and will be similar to the ebooks we have already published: 
The production process involves:  
• Discussing initial story ideas with the writing team 
• Developing initial sketches  
• Adapting sketches as required 
• Producing a set of line drawings to be discussed by the team 
• Adapting line drawings where required 
• Producing full colour illustrations 
• Adapting illustrations as required  

The ideal candidate will be an illustration graduate with a Manga/comic book portfolio 
You will be a collaborative team player - who has the ability to take part in creative decisions,  
You will be a willing and active team participant who can provide creative feedback, as well as accept and act on it.  An enthusiastic, driven, creative thinker with initiative and an ability to prioritise. 
This role is on a self-employed basis. Please note that you will be invoicing Adopt an Intern as a freelance consultant. This is a very simple, uncomplicated process. You will also be advised to register as self-employed with HMRC if you hare not already registered. Please note, students in Scotland on a Tier 4 Visa are not permitted to be self-employed and should therefore not apply for this role.
