As a Marketing and Communications Assistant Intern with Scottish EDGE you will be involved with:
• Social Media messaging on Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook
• Creating a LinkedIn page for alumni
• Updating the website
• Designing and writing bi-monthly newsletters
• Creating case studies
• Attending events to promote Scottish EDGE
• Assisting with the organisation of a Scottish EDGE alumni event in May and the Scottish EDGE final in June.
The ideal candidate will have a background in marketing, communications, business studies, journalism or related field. You should be confident when using a range of social media platforms (specifically, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn) to carry out brand communication, digital community development, customer service and audience development.
Candidates must be self-motivated with great attention to detail and have the ability and a passion for writing copy of a high standard. Highly organised, you will possess a strong attention to detail, be able to effectively time manage and prioritise when working on multiple projects at once. Previous experience of web content management and email marketing would be beneficial.
