Hot Gem are currently managing artists such as Machines in Heaven and Yutani, whilst promoting Colombian act OKRAA. Previous label releases include acts such as Atom Tree, Fiona Soe Paing, Dubukas, The Revenge, Nightwave and Infant Telethon. The company have been involved with organising and curating a number of successful events, including The Brunswick Stage (Commonwealth Games), The Hidden Lane festival and The Night fair events.
Hot Gem are currently looking to employ a graduate intern as a Music Marketing and PR Admin Assistant Intern to help them deliver their services to a growing client-base. In this role you will help with the day to day running of the Hot Gem Office to ensure that the marketing, production and hospitality for events is delivered to the highest possible standards. Main tasks and responsibilities include:
• maintaining smooth operation of social media accounts including the company website
• writing press releases and mails outs (Mail Chimp)
• collation and organisation of data
• filling in applications for funding and festivals
• some band tour management work
The ideal candidate will be extremely passionate about music and have extensive knowledge on a wide range of musical genres and styles. Those with a background in Music, Music Business, Marketing, Creative Industries and English Literature/Journalism will be highly regarded.
Candidates should possess good interpersonal and writing skills; be confident in working with initiative; and be highly motivated with a professional approach to time management.
Graduates should be able to demonstrate excellent IT skills, and a strong working knowledge of Microsoft packages and Mail Chimp are essential. Ideally you will have a driving licence, although this is not essential.
