Not a graduate? Not to worry. We often advertise non-graduate jobs. In the past these have included traineeships with The Scottish Council on Archives and Museums Galleries Scotland.
Opportunities for Undergraduates we offered last year:
Scottish Enterprise Undergraduate Programme
The Scottish Enterprise Undergraduate Programme is a great way for university students who are ideally on their way to completing their second year to gain valuable work experience, and get paid at the same time. We’re offering an annual salary of £16,300 pro rata for up to 13 weeks work (throughout the year). This is a great opportunity to gain an insight and contribute to the work of Scottish Enterprise and may lead to future opportunities, subject to your performance.
OPENING UP SCOTLAND’S ARCHIVES PROJECT
7 work-based heritage trainee roles across Scotland (1 year/£14,500 bursary plus travel and training) open to non-graduates
Adopt an Intern worked with the Scottish Council on Archives to recruit another 7 trainees to their Opening Up Scotland’s Archives Project, funded by The Heritage Lottery Fund. We had recruited six the previous year.
Opening Up Scotland’s Archives seeks to address three main areas:
• to diversify the range of people coming into the archives workforce
• to address gaps in the skills available in the archives workforce and
• to offer new routes for people to work in the heritage sector.
