The Role

1Let is now seeking an individual to join their team as an Office and Administration Support Worker. In this role, you will be responsible for a large number of tasks that assist with the day to day running of the business. You will also be required to assist with practical office-based tasks.

Full training in 1LET systems and procedures will be provided.

Reporting to the Finance Manager and Lettings Manager, your main responsibilities will be:

● Handling telephone and email enquiries
● Signing keys in/out
● Filing hard copy and soft copy records
● Welcoming customers, tradesman and business contacts visiting the office
● Utilising relevant IT systems
● Looking after office recycling
● Ordering and organising office supplies and consumables
● Keeping the staff kitchen/tea prep area clean and tidy
● Assisting Property Managers with administrative tasks (training provided)
● Assisting the Compliance Manager with administrative tasks (training provided)
● Assisting the finance manager with finance tasks (training provided)
● Assisting with marketing and promotional tasks (training provided)
● Helping maintain the office in an organised, clean and tidy fashion
● Contributing at regular staff meetings and playing a full part in 1LET’s teamwork approach

You will be based in an open plan office and will be working alongside the Property Management Team and the Finance/Compliance Team. You will have regular contact with a number of suppliers and contractors who provide services to the company on a regular basis.

The appointment period is for a 3-month contract, but it may be possible to extend the position subject to individual and business performance. If the post becomes permanent the following benefits will be applicable:

Annual Holiday entitlement: 30 days including 6 fixed Public Holiday days when the office is closed. 1LET staff also receive an additional day for each full/continuous calendar year of service subject to a maximum of 5 extra days.


Staff Bonus Scheme: 1LET operate a bonus scheme for all staff which is linked to the annual turnover of the company. The scheme runs in line with the company’s financial year and 1LET staff become eligible to join the scheme after 1 full/continuous year of employment.

 

Requirements

This role would suit candidates who have strong communication and customer care experience or maybe a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting or a related field. However, the ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative and self-motivation regardless of their academic level/discipline, so non-graduates and graduates from all fields will be considered.

Recognised administration skills and a helpful attitude are key. Applicants must also have a genuine commitment to customer care. Strong organisational and a professional telephone manner are needed for the post.

You will be able to demonstrate that you enjoy being part of a friendly team and be naturally practical and organised.
