Project Engineer with Coastal Marine

Coastal Marine Eyemouth Limited (Coastal Marine) are based in Eyemouth on the south east coast of Scotland, 6 miles from Berwick-upon-Tweed, 50 miles from Edinburgh and 70 miles from Newcastle.

£22,000 p/a (negotiable)
Full-time for 6-12 months with view to become a permanent role if successful
Immediate start

Coastal Marine specialise in the commercial repair and refit of vessels up to 200 tonnes. They have extensive experience in this area and have all the necessary management, stores, facilities and trades on site, to deal with all customer requirements. They are now looking to add a talented Project Engineer to their team.

Working with Coastal Marine you will be involved in project management and continuous improvement programmes, bringing new ideas to the company, working with a technical background/bias.


The ideal candidate will have a background in naval architecture or marine engineering, this can be from either a university or college context. You will be highly organised and able to manage your time well. Previous project management experience would be highly beneficial.

You will be able to demonstrate professionalism and compliance with rules are regulations. You will have strong problem solving skills and the ability to explain problems and solutions to others. Previous experience of writing technical reports would be an advantage. Strong team working skills, alongside the ability to work independently are required.

Access to your own transport is preferable, although there is a regular train service to Berwick-Upon-Tweed which is approx. 6 miles away.
