The Role 
This is a versatile role that offers hands-on experience in different stages of textile design. As a successful applicant your main responsibilities will include: 
• Producing  toiles  
• Helping with pattern cutting  
• Design assistance  
• Style assistance 
•  Experimenting with fabrics  
• Cuttings and sewing  
• Organising a fashion show    
This role is advertised on a self-employed basis. Please note that you will be invoicing as a freelance consultant. This is a very simple, uncomplicated process. You will also be advised to register as self-employed with HMRC if you have not already registered. Please note, students in Scotland on a Tier 4 Visa are not permitted to be self-employed and should therefore not apply for this role.  
This is an excellent opportunity that will suit perfectly a recent Textile, Fashion Designer or related degree graduate. We are looking for a passionate and proactive candidate willing to learn in a friendly and professional environment. 
You should be a creative and enthusiastic individual with a passion for fashion and design. You should have knowledge in operating a sewing machine as well as in pattern cutting. Having an understanding of current trends in fashion, textiles and design is also essential.
