Working within the Schools, Learning and Education Business Team, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of tasks, and to interact and gain experience with different teams and colleagues across the Council.
As part of the team, your main tasks will be to:
• Update and analyse the pupil projection model for effective forward planning and management of the school estate
• Extract information from large datasets
• To provide project administration support as required
• Support the team with any other tasks that are required to be completed
Stirling Council is looking for an enthusiastic intern with an analytical mind. It is essential that you are organised and able to work to deadlines, are proactive and able to use your initiative. You will be professional and discrete in dealing with confidential and sometimes sensitive/personal information.
The following skills are also required to be successful in this role:
• Proficient at manipulating Excel spreadsheets and confident in extracting information from large datasets
• A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word) is required.
• A self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and take initiative
• Have excellent organisational skills with good attention to detail
• Comfortable prioritising own work and meeting strict deadlines
• Able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and oral
A current valid driving license would be advantageous but not essential.
