The Role

Pacla Medical is currently seeking a Software Engineer to help support the design of their Spinemap sensor system development. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a mobile app (Android & IOS) which will present meaningful data generated by sensors from the Robo-Physio system in a mobile-friendly format.

Prospective candidates will participate in at least three different interviews in the process, including a technical assessment.


Pacla Medical are looking for a Software Engineer with 2-3 years’ experience in practical software development. Exceptional candidates who have recently graduated would also be considered for the next stage of the Robo-Physio product development.

This is a new role within Pacla Medical, although there will be some intellectual handover from existing partners as well as continued interaction.

The ideal candidate would also have experience with using firmware, javascript, C++, and/or be willing to manage freelancers to cover any skill gaps.
The following requirements are essential:

• A degree in Computer Science or Electronic Engineering (or equivalent)
• 2-3 years mobile application development experience
• A passion to go ‘above and beyond’ within a software development position
• A pro-active approach to learning and personal development, specifically around data analysis
• Self-motivated and self-disciplined approach to work with the ability to work autonomously
• Excellent and honest communication skills
• An entrepreneurial spirit with a positive attitude towards working within a start-up environment
