Solid Recovered Fuel (SRF) Process and Material Quality Technician with Binn Eco Park

Location: Glenfarg, Perth
£20,000 pro rata
Full-time for an initial 6-9 months with prospect of a permanent position
Ideal start: Early August 2015

As a SRF Process and Material Quality Technician with Binn Eco Park your main responsibility will be to provide technical, data management and scientific analytical support to an advanced waste fuel production systems including the following:
• Establishing basic laboratory service for waste fuel processing and quality testing
• Operating a waste fuel processing data logging, analysis and reporting system
• Developing and implementing a waste fuel input classification, quality management and monitoring system
• Establishing a produced fuel quality management monitoring and reporting system
• Researching areas of technical relevance on any aspect of process and product improvement.


The ideal intern will have a sound chemical engineering, general engineering or physical science based degree. An understanding of and experience in Chemical Engineer/Waste Management/Quality control would be highly beneficial.

You will be responsible, professional and mature in your approach, able to manage your own time and stick to deadlines. You will have the ability to perform complex and/or varied tasks. You will be analytical in your approach and able to interpret complex data, analyse and report on it.

The successful graduate will be required to work in collaboration with others to solve complex problems while also be able to work independently unsupervised to carry out tasks. You will be a strong communicator who is able to communicate effectively the results and challenges of on-going projects in both oral and written form.
